This event is for High School Racers only, however a strong Middle Schoolers can choose to “race up” to the 9/10 grade division.

High School Racers: 5pm Start Time

There will be 4 divisions:

  • Girls 9/10th Grade

  • Girls 11/12th Grade

  • Boys 9/10th Grade

  • Boys 11/12th Grade.

EVERYONE WILL GET TO RACE AT LEAST TWO ROUNDS! (And the most a racer would race is 4 rounds)

  • Qualification round will be one racer starting every 15 seconds.

  • Heat rounds will start with semifinals.

  • Top 12 in each division will advance to semifinals, and top 3 in each semifinal will advance to division finals.

  • The bottom 8 of each division from qualification round will also race a semifinal, and top 3 in that consolation semifinal will advance to a Consolation Final where they race against the other age group in their gender.

  • There will be a "Super Final" where the top 3 in division finals meet the other age division in their gender.

7:40 Awards - will be announced and picked up near timing shed.

Racers return bibs to bucket after qualification round. All racers will be reissued a new bib -- return to the finish area to get the bibs for the heat rounds after an announcement is made that results are ready (approximately 5:30 for girls and 5:45 for boys). After the semifinals, the top 3 racers in each heat will keep their bibs, others return them into bucket before you leave the finish corral. If you are moving on in the heats, please be at the start area 5 minutes before your next heat. (see schedule above). The announcer will also be calling for the heats.

MASKS REQUIRED: Everyone on the Quarry Road premises must wear a mask at all times. This includes the entirety of the race. We suggest a plastic frame insert to give space between your mouth and your mask. If a racer loses their mask while racing, a box of masks will be available at the start area.

PARKING & SPECTATORS: There are no spectators allowed because of the Governor’s state gathering limits. Parents who are dropping off their skiers can drop off and then park in the larger lot south of the yurt, and please stay in your cars. Thank you for your cooperation so that we can continue to offer events.

BIB PICK UP & RETURN: Each racer will need to go to the registration window at the yurt and confirm that they do not have any Covid-19 symptoms. They will then receive their race bib. After you finish, please deposit bib into the bucket before you leave the finish corral.

RACE COURSE INFORMATION: Sprint course is the Colby Sprint and turn at end of the meadow to return to finish.

We will use an open course policy. You may warm up and cool down on the course, ONLY IN THE DIRECTION OF TRAVEL. Please give way and space to all racers.
